R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Rozena Samuel Gosey Beatty of Call, who passed away on April 24,
  2013, at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Bobby and Luna Young Samuel, "Rose"
  Samuel was born in Newton County and attended school there; on July
  24, 1948, she married L. C. Gosey, Sr., and the couple had 10
  children; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Gosey began her career in the nursing field,
  then, after attending cosmetology school, she owned and operated
  Rozena Gosey's Beauty Shop; and
         WHEREAS, After Mr. Gosey died, she was married a second time,
  to Lee Henry Beatty, and over the years she watched her family grow
  to include 30 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Although Rozena Gosey is deeply missed, memories of
  her generosity and compassion remain to comfort and inspire those
  she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rozena Samuel Gosey
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her
  sons, L. C. Gosey, Jr., Ronald Lee Gosey, Sr., and his wife, Bonita,
  Bobby Gosey and his wife, Ann, and James Louis Gosey and his wife,
  Cecelia; to her daughters, Lera Mae Tolbert and her husband, James,
  Patricia Ann Kenebrew, Bernadette Gosey-Smith and her husband,
  Terry, Sharon Ann Nash and her husband, Sammy, and Shirley Ann
  Roberts; to her 30 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren; to her
  brother, Jessie Samuel, Sr.; to her sisters, Maxine Sparrow and
  Mary Samuel; and to her other relatives and many friends; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rozena
  Gosey.
