R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Shelly McCutcheon Bullock has been named Woman of |
|
|
the Year by the Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A longtime member of the chamber, Ms. Bullock gives |
|
|
generously of her time and talents in behalf of many community |
|
|
activities and organizations; she has been involved in the Little |
|
|
Miss Autumn Pageant for the past 15 years, and she serves as |
|
|
secretary and treasurer of Beta Zeta Psi; in addition, she attends |
|
|
numerous youth events in order to capture special moments with her |
|
|
camera for the enjoyment of others; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Shelly Bullock has resided in Winnsboro since 1980, |
|
|
when her parents bought the local Dairy Queen; after graduating |
|
|
from East Texas State University, Ms. Bullock formed a partnership |
|
|
with her brother and her parents in 1990 to repurchase the |
|
|
restaurant, which her family had previously sold, and six years |
|
|
later, she and her husband took on full ownership; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her many worthwhile endeavors, Shelly |
|
|
Bullock has made a positive difference in her town, and her |
|
|
contributions have earned her the admiration and appreciation of |
|
|
countless fellow residents; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Shelly Bullock on her selection as |
|
|
Woman of the Year by the Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce and that she |
|
|
be extended sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it |
|
|
further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Bullock as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
