R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Tom Howard has been named Man of the Year by the |
|
|
Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Howard is being sworn in as mayor of Winnsboro on |
|
|
May 17, 2013; he currently serves as president of the chamber of |
|
|
commerce and as chair of the organizational committee for the Main |
|
|
Street Board; a valued member of Central Christian Church, he is |
|
|
also a Master Mason, and in March 2013, he received his 32nd degree |
|
|
from the Scottish Rite Masons in Dallas; moreover, he is a member of |
|
|
the HAWKS Gun Club of East Texas, and he was named HAWK of the Year |
|
|
in 2011; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This esteemed Texan holds a bachelor's degree in |
|
|
nursing from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston |
|
|
and a master's degree in public health from American Public |
|
|
University System; before moving to Winnsboro, he worked as a |
|
|
flight medic in Alaska; a critical care paramedic and a registered |
|
|
nurse, he now serves as director of the Quality, Risk Management, |
|
|
Case Management, and Infection Control Departments at Trinity |
|
|
Mother Frances Hospital of Winnsboro; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Tom Howard has greatly benefited his fellow citizens |
|
|
through his exemplary contributions to the community, and he is |
|
|
indeed deserving of this prestigious accolade; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Tom Howard on his selection as Man |
|
|
of the Year by the Winnsboro Chamber of Commerce and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Howard as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
