R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Theresa |
|
|
Anna Davis of Kingwood, who passed away on April 9, 2013, at the age |
|
|
of 71; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A native of Louisiana, the former Theresa Meyers was |
|
|
born in Sulphur on August 15, 1941, to Romald and Emy Meyers; she |
|
|
became a nurse and inspired others through her compassion for her |
|
|
patients and dedication to her profession; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This beloved woman married R. E. "Coach" Davis, and |
|
|
they became the parents of two sons, Dirk and Bryan; over the years, |
|
|
Ms. Davis knew the joy of welcoming into her family two cherished |
|
|
granddaughters, Molly and Zoe; Ms. Davis was devoted to her family, |
|
|
and she and her husband shared a fulfilling marriage of 48 years; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Theresa Davis lived a caring and purposeful life, |
|
|
and although she will be deeply missed, those who were fortunate |
|
|
enough to know her will forever hold her close in their hearts; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Theresa Anna Davis |
|
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
husband, R. E. "Coach" Davis; to her son, Bryan Davis, and his |
|
|
wife, Denise; to her grandchildren, Molly and Zoe Davis; and to her |
|
|
other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Theresa |
|
|
Anna Davis. |
