R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, A full and generous life drew to a close with the |
|
death of Mary Carol Fenner of Silsbee on April 28, 2013, at the age |
|
of 92; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on September 7, 1920, Mary Fenner was a |
|
longtime resident of Corpus Christi; she lived for some time in |
|
Mauriceville before spending the past eight years in Silsbee |
|
Convalescent Center; and |
|
WHEREAS, A woman of strong faith, Mrs. Fenner was well known |
|
as a prayer warrior; moreover, she was always willing to help others |
|
in any way that she could, and she encouraged many as a mentor, |
|
teacher, and empathetic listener throughout her life; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Mary Fenner is deeply missed, memories of |
|
her compassion, vivacity, and faith remain to comfort and inspire |
|
those she leaves behind; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Mary Carol Fenner |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
daughter, Vedna Lester; to her sister, Catherine Netherland; to her |
|
grandchildren, Jerry and Sandy Hrncir, Karen and Buster Ogden, |
|
Phillip Hrncir, Carol Haynes, and Kim and Waylon Lewis; to her 23 |
|
great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren; to her |
|
nieces, nephews, and adopted children; and to her other relatives |
|
and many friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Mary Carol |
|
Fenner. |
