R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Hannah Lenamon of McGregor, a student at Texas Tech
  University, has been inducted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society;
  and
         WHEREAS, Founded in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is America's oldest
  and most selective collegiate honor society for all academic
  disciplines; membership in the society requires an invitation,
  nomination, and approval by a collegiate chapter, and only
  outstanding juniors and seniors who rank in the top 7.5 or 10
  percent of their classes, respectively, may be admitted; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Lenamon was the valedictorian of the McGregor
  High School Class of 2011, and her class ranking and high test
  scores secured her a Texas Tech Presidential Scholarship; the
  daughter of proud parents Michelle and James Lenamon, she is
  pursuing a degree in chemistry; and
         WHEREAS, This fine young Texan has demonstrated perseverance
  and a strong commitment to excellence in her educational endeavors,
  and she may indeed look with anticipation toward a bright and
  promising future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Hannah Lenamon on her induction
  into Phi Kappa Phi and extend to her sincere best wishes for
  continued success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Lenamon as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
