R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Memories of a life filled with joyful times and
  meaningful accomplishments remain to comfort the family and friends
  of Donald Wayne Goettee of Livingston, who passed away on April 26,
  2013, at the age of 79; and
         WHEREAS, Don Goettee was born in Trinity on July 19, 1933, to
  Frank and Mary Goettee; known as "Red" to his close friends,
  Mr. Goettee married Frances Edwards on July 22, 1955, and welcomed
  into his heart and home her children, whom he grew to consider his
  own; a skilled carpenter, he built the family's first home while
  working at Armco Steel in Houston, but he eventually left that job
  to establish his own remodeling business; working side-by-side with
  his wife, he successfully fixed up and sold numerous homes through
  the years; and
         WHEREAS, Kind and generous, Mr. Goettee delighted in having
  people drop by to share a cup of coffee or play a game of dominoes;
  he loved the outdoors, enjoyed watching birds, and found relaxation
  working in his yard; he was also a skilled hunter and fisherman; he
  and Mrs. Goettee were longtime members of the Trinity Valley Good
  Sam Club, and they took great pleasure in traveling throughout
  Texas and beyond with their fellow RV enthusiasts; and
         WHEREAS, Don Goettee lived a life that was rich in the
  intangibles that matter most, and he is deeply missed by all those
  who held him dear; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Donald Wayne
  Goettee and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to
  his wife, Fran Goettee; to his son, Terry Edwards; to his daughter,
  Cheryl Holsey; to his brother-in-law, Fred Chesser; to his
  grandchildren, Terrence Edwards and his fiancee, Huong Cao, Donald
  Edwards and his wife, Kristen, Treanna Peavler, and Angel Fuentes;
  to his great-grandchildren, Alora, Alexis, Sofia, Wyatt, and Max;
  and to his other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Don
  Goettee.
