R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Wade Emmert of Cedar Hill has rendered notable
  service to his community through his professional and civic
  endeavors; and
         WHEREAS, A Midland native, Mr. Emmert earned his bachelor's
  degree in business and international studies from Abilene Christian
  University in 1992 and his juris doctorate from Baylor Law School in
  1995; he is currently a partner in the law firm of Burford & Ryburn,
  L.L.P., where he practices corporate law and civil litigation; he
  has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer by Texas Monthly and by
  Law & Politics; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Emmert has long played an active role in civic
  affairs, both through his participation in the political process
  and through his contributions in other realms; this dynamic Texan
  has devoted himself to grassroots politics since his days as a
  member of the College Republicans at ACU; he has served as precinct
  chair coordinator, and in 2011 he was elected chair of the Dallas
  County Republican Party; an expert in election law, he is known for
  his election contest work and for his coordination of ballot
  integrity training throughout Dallas County; in addition,
  Mr. Emmert has served as president of the Cedar Hill Economic
  Development Corporation, as a member of the city council, as chair
  of the Best Southwest Partnership, as a member of the Methodist
  Charlton Medical Center Advisory Board, and as a deacon in his
  church; in recognition of his tireless efforts in behalf of his
  fellow citizens, the Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce has honored him
  as its Civic Leader of the Year; and
         WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Emmert enjoys the love and
  support of his wife of 20 years, Michelle, and his two sons, Walker
  and Will; and
         WHEREAS, Wade Emmert's outstanding example of civic
  engagement continues to inspire all who know him, and he may indeed
  reflect with pride on his many accomplishments; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Wade Emmert for his myriad contributions
  to his community and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued
  success; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Emmert as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
