R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Jean Marie Winland of Goodrich, who passed away on April 5, 2013, |
|
|
at the age of 80; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The former Jean Marie Schlicher was born to Fred and |
|
|
Bertha Jewel Allen Schlicher in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 26, |
|
|
1932; she shared many fulfilling years of marriage with her |
|
|
husband, Milton Winland, who preceded her in death in 1996, and she |
|
|
was the loving mother of four children, Jack, Tim, Chris, and Jody; |
|
|
her life was further enriched by five grandchildren and five |
|
|
great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Winland was active in her community as a member |
|
|
of the auxiliary units of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 8568 in |
|
|
Livingston, American Legion Post No. 629 in Camilla, and American |
|
|
Veterans Post No. 913 in Livingston; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Jean Marie Winland possessed a generosity of spirit |
|
|
that expressed itself in myriad ways, and she will forever hold a |
|
|
treasured place in the hearts of all those who had the good fortune |
|
|
to know her; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Jean Marie Winland |
|
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
|
sons, Jack, Tim, and Chris Winland; to her daughter, Jody Shawa; to |
|
|
her grandchildren, Chris Lee Poe, Melanie Shawa, Jack Winland II, |
|
|
Jason Winland, and Karen Winland; to her great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Jean Marie |
|
|
Winland. |
