R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The loved ones of Gladys Ann Swinney of Midway were |
|
greatly saddened by her passing on April 19, 2013, at the age of 71; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in Port Arthur on December 3, 1941, Gladys Ann |
|
Swinney was the daughter of Leonard and Hazel Brinkley Rucker; she |
|
eventually settled in Midway, where she endeared herself to all |
|
those who were fortunate to know her; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Swinney enjoyed a rewarding marriage with her |
|
husband, Dan T. Swinney, and she cherished her four children, Dana, |
|
Dara, Dena, and Corey; as the years passed, she also took great |
|
pleasure in welcoming into her family eight grandchildren and a |
|
great-granddaughter; and |
|
WHEREAS, Gladys Swinney enjoyed a life that was rich in the |
|
intangibles that matter most, and she is deeply missed by all those |
|
who held her dear; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Gladys Ann Swinney |
|
and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her |
|
husband, Dan T. Swinney; to her children, Dana Ann Moss and her |
|
husband, Greg, Dara Lynn Floyd and her husband, Chris, Dena Kaye |
|
Jackson and her husband, Hewy, and Corey Adam Swinney; to her |
|
grandchildren, Jesse Colton Moss, Joshua Tyler Moss and his wife, |
|
Samantha, Haley Danielle Floyd, Dylan Martie Floyd, Hewy Elbert |
|
Jackson III, Destiny Kaye Jackson, Grace Kaye Jackson, and Daniel |
|
Philip Jackson; to her great-granddaughter, Maci Madison Moss; and |
|
to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Gladys Ann |
|
Swinney. |
