R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, After more than 33 years of outstanding employment |
|
with the state, Ronald C. Sassen is retiring as chief accounting |
|
officer of the Texas Workforce Commission on May 31, 2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, Beginning his career with the State Auditor's Office |
|
in 1979, Mr. Sassen served there for nearly 18 years before joining |
|
the Texas Workforce Commission in 1997; a certified public |
|
accountant and certified information systems auditor, he has |
|
developed solutions to accounting and reporting challenges, |
|
improved statewide practices, and mentored other staff members; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Sassen is the loving husband of Sally Sassen and |
|
the father of two treasured sons, David and Jeff; in his spare time, |
|
he enjoys bird-watching, photography, movies, wine-making, |
|
cycling, and weather watching, and he looks forward to traveling |
|
with his wife after retirement; and |
|
WHEREAS, Ronald Sassen has distinguished himself with his |
|
professionalism, dedication, and commitment to excellence, and his |
|
accomplishments have benefited many in the Lone Star State; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ronald Sassen on his retirement as |
|
chief accounting officer of the Texas Workforce Commission and |
|
extend to him sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Sassen as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
