R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Those young people who give of their time and
  talents to assist in the demanding work of the Texas Legislature are
  truly deserving of our gratitude and admiration, and Linda Rangel
  is one such individual; and
         WHEREAS, Originally from Bay City, Ms. Rangel served as a
  legislative intern in the office of State Representative Elliott
  Naishtat from January to May 2013, and her dedication, commitment,
  and delightful humor were always greatly appreciated by her
  colleagues; and
         WHEREAS, The expertise brought by Ms. Rangel in the area of
  health and human services was particularly valuable to both
  Representative Naishtat's staff and his constituents, and in
  assisting citizens and advocates alike with questions relating to
  these areas, she saw firsthand the ability of public officials to
  have an impact on policy; and
         WHEREAS, Ms. Rangel has received her master of science degree
  in social work from the School of Social Work at The University of
  Texas at Austin, and her hands-on experience with the workings of
  state government will no doubt empower her to thrive as a social
  worker; and
         WHEREAS, Although the end of her tenure is bittersweet, her
  colleagues share her excitement in a future that is bright with
  promise; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor Linda Rangel for her service as a
  legislative intern with the Texas House of Representatives and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success and
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Rangel as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
