R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Arlon and June Ragsdale of Alba |
|
|
celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 8, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Arlon Ragsdale and the former Helen June Harrison |
|
|
were united in matrimony at the First Assembly of God Church in |
|
|
Winnsboro in 1963; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling |
|
|
marriage made even richer by mutual successes, and both have shared |
|
|
great joy in Mr. Ragsdale's recent appointment as pastor of the Lake |
|
|
Side Assembly of God; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While much has changed in the world over the past |
|
|
half-century, this devoted husband and wife have remained constant |
|
|
in their commitment to each other, and the strength of their love |
|
|
has enabled them to meet life's challenges and opportunities with |
|
|
grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Arlon and June Ragsdale on their |
|
|
golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Ragsdale as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
