R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Doana Smith retired as chief deputy clerk in the |
|
|
Camp County Clerk's Office in April 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Smith joined the county clerk's office in the |
|
|
late 1980s, and over the course of her tenure, she earned the |
|
|
respect and admiration of her colleagues and fellow citizens alike; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Known for her professionalism and dedication, |
|
|
Ms. Smith contributed in numerous ways to the administration of |
|
|
Camp County, handling vital records and helping to oversee local |
|
|
elections; moreover, her encyclopedic knowledge of county |
|
|
statistics was a great asset to members of the public; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Doana Smith was invaluable to the operation of the |
|
|
Camp County Clerk's Office for more than a quarter of a century, and |
|
|
it is a pleasure to wish her well in the next exciting chapter of her |
|
|
life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Doana Smith on her retirement as |
|
|
chief deputy clerk in the Camp County Clerk's Office and extend to |
|
|
her sincere best wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Smith as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
