R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The Mineola Chamber of Commerce honored Barbara |
|
|
Morgan as the Woman of the Year at its annual banquet on April 6, |
|
|
2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A woman of strong faith and a valued member of her |
|
|
congregation, Ms. Morgan plays the piano for all the services at |
|
|
her church and sings in a trio; moreover, she volunteers her time |
|
|
and talents with Mineola Caring & Sharing, Inc.; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The epitome of a good neighbor, this dynamic Texan |
|
|
is always thinking of others; she makes blankets for the elderly and |
|
|
for newborns and creates wonderful quilts for anyone in need; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Barbara Morgan embodies the spirit of civic |
|
|
engagement that is the lifeblood of American communities, and she |
|
|
is indeed deserving of this prestigious honor; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Barbara Morgan on her selection as |
|
|
Woman of the Year by the Mineola Chamber of Commerce and commend her |
|
|
for her inspiring example of community service; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Morgan as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
