R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Nira |
|
Maretta Strain of Lumberton, who passed away on April 21, 2013, at |
|
the age of 79; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on July 30, 1933, in Sycamore, Alabama, Nira |
|
Strain was the daughter of Ambrose Ford and Evie Ray Morgan; she |
|
served as a manager at K-Mart in Beaumont until retiring; and |
|
WHEREAS, For 45 years, Mrs. Strain shared her life with her |
|
husband, Walter Strain, and she was the mother of two children, |
|
Kenneth and Juanita; she later welcomed into her family five |
|
grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and |
|
WHEREAS, Nira Strain lived a rich and purposeful life, and |
|
although her absence is keenly felt, she has left behind a wealth of |
|
memories for her loved ones to forever treasure; now, therefore, be |
|
it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Nira Maretta Strain |
|
and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her |
|
sisters, Victoria Reagan, Joyce Westmoreland, Betty Harris, and |
|
Bobbie Morris; to her brother, Ray Morgan; to her grandchildren and |
|
great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nira |
|
Maretta Strain. |
