R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Nira
  Maretta Strain of Lumberton, who passed away on April 21, 2013, at
  the age of 79; and
         WHEREAS, Born on July 30, 1933, in Sycamore, Alabama, Nira
  Strain was the daughter of Ambrose Ford and Evie Ray Morgan; she
  served as a manager at K-Mart in Beaumont until retiring; and
         WHEREAS, For 45 years, Mrs. Strain shared her life with her
  husband, Walter Strain, and she was the mother of two children,
  Kenneth and Juanita; she later welcomed into her family five
  grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Nira Strain lived a rich and purposeful life, and
  although her absence is keenly felt, she has left behind a wealth of
  memories for her loved ones to forever treasure; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Nira Maretta Strain
  and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family: to her
  sisters, Victoria Reagan, Joyce Westmoreland, Betty Harris, and
  Bobbie Morris; to her brother, Ray Morgan; to her grandchildren and
  great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and friends; and,
  be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nira
  Maretta Strain.
