R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Lindburgh Parsley of Evadale, who passed away on April 29, 2013,
  at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, A native Texan, Lindburgh Parsley was born in Voth
  on July 7, 1931, one of 11 children of James and Mahaly Parsley; he
  answered his nation's call to duty with service in the United States
  Army during the Korean War; and
         WHEREAS, After his return to civilian life, Mr. Parsley owned
  and operated a dump truck service and was active in the Evadale
  Masonic Lodge; he shared many happy years with his wife, Donetta,
  and the couple were blessed with four children, nine grandchildren,
  and two great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Lindburgh Parsley made a positive and lasting
  difference in the lives of his many friends and loved ones, and he
  will be deeply missed by all who knew him; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Lindburgh Parsley
  and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  wife, Donetta Parsley; to his children, Donna Campbell and her
  husband, Gary, James Parsley and his wife, Karen, Michael Parsley
  and his wife, Alicia, and Sheryl Harmon and her husband, Donald; to
  his grandchildren, Nicole Entrekin, George, Jamie, and Colleen
  Campbell, Kevin Parsley, Karyl-Anne Hebert and her husband, Jimmy,
  Ethan Harmon, and Ashlyn and Matthew Crane; to his
  great-grandchildren, Johnathan and Jakob Hebert; to his brother,
  Cody Parsley, and his wife, Nancy; and to his other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Lindburgh
  Parsley.
