R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The retirement of Dolores Howard of Austin, Texas,
  on May 15, 2013, brings a career spanning 27 years in public service
  to a close; and
         WHEREAS, Dolores Howard has worked full-time jobs since the
  age of 16, helping support her family and educating herself while
  accomplishing tremendous success; and
         WHEREAS, Dolores Howard has been a valuable asset to the
  State of Texas, first as a special education teacher, then working
  at The University of Texas at Austin, the Secretary of State's
  Office, and the Railroad Commission; and
         WHEREAS, Dolores Howard has served 21 years with the Railroad
  Commission in the Docket Services Division, eventually serving as
  the Hearings Coordinator and managing countless dockets of
  Commission hearings and offering superior assistance to the public;
  and
         WHEREAS, Dolores Howard's life as a wife and mother is
  admirable, epitomizing the results of a loving and caring family;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Dolores Howard on her retirement
  from the Railroad Commission and extend to her sincere best wishes
  for the future; and, be it further
         
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Howard as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
