R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Joseph |
|
Henry O'Leary, Jr., of Silsbee, who passed away on April 30, 2013, |
|
at the age of 83; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Joseph and Marcella O'Leary, Joe O'Leary |
|
was born on July 28, 1929, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; answering |
|
his country's call to duty, he served as a member of the United |
|
States Navy and later participated in veterans' activities; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. O'Leary was employed by Bethlehem Steel before |
|
retiring, and he was also an AFL-CIO business agent and served on |
|
the executive board of the Sabine Area Labor Council; and |
|
WHEREAS, A caring husband and father, Mr. O'Leary and his |
|
wife Erma shared a rewarding marriage until she passed away, and he |
|
later enjoyed the love and support of his second wife, Billie; he |
|
took great pride in his four children, Darrell, Ricky, Craig, and |
|
Karen, all of whom preceded him in death; and |
|
WHEREAS, Although Joe O'Leary will be deeply missed, those |
|
who were fortunate enough to have known him may always remember the |
|
many happy times spent in his company; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of Joseph Henry |
|
O'Leary, Jr., and extend deepest sympathy to the members of his |
|
family: to his wife, Billie O'Leary; to his sister-in-law, Marlene |
|
O'Leary; to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; to his |
|
daughter-in-law, Barbara Gaines; to his close friend, Charles |
|
Brewer, and his wife, Michele; and to his other relatives and many |
|
friends; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Joseph |
|
O'Leary, Jr. |
