R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The certain knowledge of a life well lived may
  comfort those saddened by the passing of Rosie Ellen Reed of
  Silsbee, who passed away on April 9, 2013, at the age of 95; and
         WHEREAS, A native of the Lone Star State, Rosie Reed was born
  in Belton on December 21, 1917, to Marion and Adeline Sparks; over
  the passing years, she became the matriarch of a large and loving
  family, including 3 children, Jim, Bonnie, and Beatrice, 8
  grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2
  great-great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Reed was a valued member of the First Baptist
  Church of Silsbee, where she was active in the mission's ministry
  and volunteered in the nursery; in her free time, she enjoyed
  sewing, reading, and working in her flower beds; and
         WHEREAS, Rosie Reed was devoted to her faith and to her
  family, and while she will be deeply missed, she will always be
  remembered with great admiration and affection; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Rosie Ellen Reed and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of her family: to her son,
  Jim Reed, and his wife, Jolene; to her daughter, Bonnie Walters, and
  her husband, Charles; to her grandchildren, James Griffin, Dave,
  Mike, and Eric Reed, Tonya Hart, Charles Walters, Jr., and Bryan and
  Clint Walters; to her great-grandchildren and
  great-great-grandchildren; and to her other relatives and many
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Rosie Ellen
  Reed.
