R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, A life made rich through meaningful service drew to
  a close when Belva Jean Young Siebenthall of Wildwood passed away on
  April 24, 2013, at the age of 81; and
         WHEREAS, The former Belva Young was born in Beaumont on
  October 23, 1931, to Allen and Nora Young; she married Carl
  Siebenthall, and the couple lived in Visalia, California, for many
  years; Mrs. Siebenthall helped establish a Christian school at the
  Church of Christ of Visalia, and she taught first and second grade
  there before becoming the administrator; and
         WHEREAS, Horseback riding was one of her favorite pastimes
  outside of her work and church activities, and she mastered the
  English saddle and competed in numerous horse shows; in addition,
  she loved to write, and her poems remain a source of enjoyment for
  many; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Siebenthall returned to Texas after retiring in
  1998 and made her home in Wildwood; she joined the Church of Christ
  in Warren and also was an active member of the Wildwood Bird
  Watchers; and
         WHEREAS, Although Belva Siebenthall will be deeply missed,
  cherished memories of time spent in her company will long endure in
  the hearts of her family and friends; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Belva Jean Young
  Siebenthall and extend sincere sympathy to the members of her
  family: to her son, Bruce Siebenthall; to her grandson, Josh
  Siebenthall; to her sister, Jane Forsythe, and her husband, Roger;
  to her nieces, Melissa Forsythe, Jennifer Blackwell, and Brenda
  Bodin; to her nephew, Roger Forsythe, Jr.; and to her other
  relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Belva
  Siebenthall.
