R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories
  of Nelson C. Mass of Silsbee, who passed away on April 30, 2013, at
  the age of 74; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Lorene Beasy and Will Mass, Nelson Mass
  was born in Lindale and grew up in Tyler; he answered his nation's
  call to duty and served in the United States Army for 10 years; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Mass worked as a truck driver, and after
  retiring, he was employed at Walmart in Silsbee, where he made his
  home for a quarter-century; in 2002, he married Rhonda Carter and
  became a devoted stepfather to her three children; and
         WHEREAS, Although he will be deeply missed, those fortunate
  enough to have known Nelson Mass will always remember him with great
  admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Nelson C. Mass and
  extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his
  stepdaughters, Audrey and Shandedria Carter; to his stepson, Mario
  Carter; to his sisters, Willie Mae Prior and her husband, Clyde, and
  Laura Guillory; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be
  it further
         
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nelson
  Mass.
