R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will long cherish their memories |
|
|
of Nelson C. Mass of Silsbee, who passed away on April 30, 2013, at |
|
|
the age of 74; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Lorene Beasy and Will Mass, Nelson Mass |
|
|
was born in Lindale and grew up in Tyler; he answered his nation's |
|
|
call to duty and served in the United States Army for 10 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Mass worked as a truck driver, and after |
|
|
retiring, he was employed at Walmart in Silsbee, where he made his |
|
|
home for a quarter-century; in 2002, he married Rhonda Carter and |
|
|
became a devoted stepfather to her three children; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Although he will be deeply missed, those fortunate |
|
|
enough to have known Nelson Mass will always remember him with great |
|
|
admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Nelson C. Mass and |
|
|
extend deepest sympathy to the members of his family: to his |
|
|
stepdaughters, Audrey and Shandedria Carter; to his stepson, Mario |
|
|
Carter; to his sisters, Willie Mae Prior and her husband, Clyde, and |
|
|
Laura Guillory; and to his other relatives and many friends; and, be |
|
|
it further |
|
|
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Nelson |
|
|
Mass. |
