R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, During the 83rd Legislative Session, Chase Austin |
|
Barker of Montgomery has ably served his fellow Texans as a |
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Dan Huberty; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Barker has contributed |
|
to state government firsthand; he brought with him insights he had |
|
gained about the legislative process while serving as an intern for |
|
Representative Huberty during the 82nd Session, and he built on |
|
that experience with new and varied responsibilities; his duties |
|
have included monitoring Representative Huberty's legislative |
|
package and analyzing legislation relevant to the House Committee |
|
on State Affairs; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of Connard and Sherry Barker, Mr. Barker |
|
earned his bachelor's degree in agribusiness from Texas A&M |
|
University in 2012; he was active in the campus community as |
|
president of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity and as a counselor at the |
|
Texas A&M Fish Camp; he plans to attend South Texas College of Law |
|
in the fall of 2013 and later pursue a career in real estate |
|
development; and |
|
WHEREAS, This noteworthy young Texan has performed his duties |
|
as a legislative aide with skill and dedication, and he is indeed |
|
deserving of special recognition for his fine work; now, therefore, |
|
be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby commend Chase Barker for his service as a |
|
legislative aide in the office of State Representative Dan Huberty |
|
and extend to him sincere best wishes for continued success in all |
|
his endeavors; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Barker as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
