R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Mackenzie L. Bates of Euless is receiving the Youth |
|
|
Volunteer Service Award from the Colleyville Woman's Club at the |
|
|
15th Annual Caring with Commitment Celebration Luncheon on May 23, |
|
|
2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Bates was recommended for this award by several |
|
|
of her teachers at Colleyville Heritage High School, in |
|
|
appreciation of her 72 hours of community service; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud mother Nina Bates, this |
|
|
inspiring young woman has excelled in her studies, earning an |
|
|
excellent grade point average and garnering a number of academic |
|
|
leadership awards; she is a member of the Spanish Honors Society, |
|
|
and she is preparing for an eventual career as a bilingual neonatal |
|
|
nurse; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mackenzie Bates has demonstrated remarkable |
|
|
compassion and determination in her work in behalf of others, and |
|
|
she is indeed deserving of special recognition; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mackenzie L. Bates on her receipt |
|
|
of the Youth Volunteer Service Award from the Colleyville Woman's |
|
|
Club and extend to her sincere best wishes for success and happiness |
|
|
in the years ahead; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Bates as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
