R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mike Wagner is retiring as principal of Meadow Creek |
|
|
Elementary School in Bedford at the end of the 2012-2013 school |
|
|
year, drawing to a close a notable tenure in education that has |
|
|
spanned more than three and a half decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Wagner has spent his career with the |
|
|
Hurst-Euless-Bedford Independent School District, which he joined |
|
|
in the mid-1970s; while he has distinguished himself in his current |
|
|
role for the last 22 years, he previously served as principal of |
|
|
Oakwood Terrace Elementary School in Euless and taught first, |
|
|
fourth, fifth, and sixth grades at Lakewood, Oakwood Terrace, and |
|
|
Spring Garden Elementary Schools; this dynamic educator and |
|
|
administrator holds both a bachelor's and a master's degree from |
|
|
Texas Christian University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, In all his endeavors, Mr. Wagner enjoys the love and |
|
|
support of his wife, Chris, as well as their sons, Matt and Mason; |
|
|
an avid fan of the Texas Rangers, he delights in cheering on his |
|
|
team at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his dedication, professionalism, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence, Mike Wagner has greatly benefited the |
|
|
students of Meadow Creek and H-E-B ISD, and he may indeed reflect |
|
|
with pride on his accomplishments as he prepares to embark on the |
|
|
next exciting chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mike Wagner on his retirement as |
|
|
principal of Meadow Creek Elementary School and extend to him |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Wagner as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
