R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Johnie and Freda Gilbreth of Lubbock |
|
|
celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 3, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Johnie H. "Jay" Gilbreth and the former Freda Mae |
|
|
Dancey were united in matrimony at a ceremony held in Edmond, |
|
|
Oklahoma, in 1953; over the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling |
|
|
marriage that has been made even richer with the addition of four |
|
|
children, Robert, Cathleen, Mark, and F. J., as well as four |
|
|
grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past six decades, this devoted husband and wife |
|
|
have remained constant in their commitment to each other, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Johnie and Freda Gilbreth on their |
|
|
60th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Gilbreth as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
