R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Jacqueline Rose Eber of Houston retired from the |
|
Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts on January 18, 2013, after |
|
more than three decades of outstanding service; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born in New York, Jackie Eber graduated from |
|
Stranahan High School in Florida and served in the United States Air |
|
Force; after her time in the military, she enrolled at The |
|
University of Texas at San Antonio, where she graduated with a |
|
degree in accounting; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Eber began her career in state government in |
|
the Comptroller's Audit Division in 1982; since then, she has |
|
served four different comptrollers in her tenure with the agency, |
|
and she has performed a number of important audits and refunds for |
|
taxpayers and industries as a member of the Houston North Audit |
|
Office; in her retirement, she will have more time to travel and |
|
work in ceramics; and |
|
WHEREAS, Jackie Eber's dedication, professionalism, and |
|
commitment to excellence have greatly benefited the citizens of |
|
Texas, and she may indeed reflect with pride on a career well spent |
|
as she embarks on the next exciting chapter of her life; now, |
|
therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Jacqueline Rose Eber on her |
|
retirement from the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts and extend |
|
to her sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mrs. Eber as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
