R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Maggie Wright is graduating as the valedictorian of |
|
|
the senior class of Evant High School; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, Ms. |
|
|
Wright demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of |
|
|
subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to |
|
|
her studies are myriad; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Wright has distinguished herself in both the |
|
|
classroom and the sporting arena; she achieved first place finishes |
|
|
in University Interscholastic League science and chemistry events, |
|
|
and was she named her district's defensive player of the year in |
|
|
basketball and its offensive most valuable player of the year in |
|
|
volleyball; moreover, she is a member of the student council and |
|
|
FFA; she is planning to continue her education at McMurry |
|
|
University, where she will compete on the track team and study |
|
|
physical therapy; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Marty and Vicki Wright |
|
|
of Purmela, Maggie Wright has earned the respect and admiration of |
|
|
her teachers and classmates at Evant High School, and her |
|
|
exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to |
|
|
excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for this |
|
|
remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Maggie Wright, valedictorian of |
|
|
the Evant High School Class of 2013, and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting |
|
|
chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Wright as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
