R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Rossi Walter of the Oak Cliff branch of the YMCA of |
|
|
Metropolitan Dallas received a 2012 Sam Winstead Volunteer of the |
|
|
Year Award at the annual meeting of the association on April 11, |
|
|
2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, This prestigious award is presented every year to a |
|
|
volunteer at each branch of the Dallas YMCA who has demonstrated |
|
|
exceptional commitment to a program or has helped further the goals |
|
|
of the YMCA in his or her community; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A volunteer with the YMCA for nearly a decade, Rossi |
|
|
Walter has been working with the Oak Cliff branch since 2007; he has |
|
|
devoted himself in particular to teaching classes to seniors in the |
|
|
Active Older Adults program, promoting health and fitness as well |
|
|
as physical, social, and spiritual growth for people over 50 with |
|
|
his characteristic warmth and charm; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through his exemplary service to the Oak Cliff |
|
|
Family YMCA, Rossi Walter has greatly benefited his community and |
|
|
demonstrated his support of the organization's goals of healthy |
|
|
living and social responsibility; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Rossi Walter on receiving a 2012 |
|
|
Sam Winstead Volunteer of the Year Award and extend to him sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Walter as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
