R E S O L U T I O N

|
WHEREAS, Ashley Juergens has provided valuable public |
|
|
service to the people of the great State of Texas as scheduler, |
|
|
office manager, and legislative assistant in the office of |
|
|
Representative Jason Villalba during the 83rd Legislative Session; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of Texas State University, Ms. Juergens |
|
|
earned a bachelor of business administration degree in economics, |
|
|
which enabled her to provide assistance to the representatives on |
|
|
issues relating to business and industry; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Charged with maintaining and updating |
|
|
Representative Villalba's ever-changing schedule, Ms. Juergens was |
|
|
frequently the first staff member people met when entering the |
|
|
office and her welcoming manner helped to put many a constituent at |
|
|
ease as they visited the seat of Texas government; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Juergens capably handled a number of essential |
|
|
duties, including greeting visitors, handling large volumes of |
|
|
daily correspondence, resolving constituent concerns, relaying |
|
|
matters of communication among the office, carrying out duties |
|
|
relating to the Pastor of the Day, Doctor of the Day, and Honorary |
|
|
Page programs, managing the office's administrative work and the |
|
|
representative's travel arrangements, drafting thorough talking |
|
|
points, tracking business and commerce legislation, and meeting |
|
|
with numerous constituent and advocacy groups on policy issues; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A former house sergeant, Ms. Juergens was named |
|
|
"Most Resourceful Staffer" by colleagues, a testament to her |
|
|
exceptional abilities, her winning sense of humor, and her ability |
|
|
to befriend everyone in the Capitol; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The efforts of Ashley Juergens have helped to ensure |
|
|
the efficient functioning of the representative's office |
|
|
throughout the course of the session; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby commend Ashley Juergens for her service as |
|
|
scheduler, office manager, and legislative assistant in the office |
|
|
of State Representative Jason Villalba, thank her for her work in |
|
|
behalf of the citizens of Texas, and extend to her sincere best |
|
|
wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Juergens as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
