R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, An inspiring couple whose lives have been enhanced |
|
|
by a great and enduring love, Edwin and Neva LeBreton of Round Rock |
|
|
are celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary on June 21, 2013; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Edwin Louis LeBreton and the former Neva Lee Jimison |
|
|
were united in matrimony at a ceremony held in San Antonio in 1943; |
|
|
over the years, they have nurtured a fulfilling marriage that has |
|
|
been made even richer with the addition of seven children, as well |
|
|
as nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. LeBreton met while in the military and |
|
|
spent 26 years of service traveling among Maryland, Louisiana, |
|
|
Japan, France, Texas, and Virginia before retiring and settling in |
|
|
Lubbock in 1963; Mr. LeBreton graduated from Texas Tech University |
|
|
in 1968, and Mrs. LeBreton has been a homemaker and local volunteer; |
|
|
the couple moved to Round Rock in 1974 and have been active members |
|
|
of the community for nearly 40 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, While innumerable changes have taken place in the |
|
|
world during the past seven decades, this devoted husband and wife |
|
|
have remained constant in their commitment to each other, and the |
|
|
strength of their love has enabled them to meet life's challenges |
|
|
and opportunities with grace and optimism; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Edwin and Neva LeBreton on their |
|
|
70th wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best wishes for |
|
|
continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. LeBreton as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
