R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Family and friends are mourning the loss of Leotis
  Dilworth of Dallas, who passed away on May 12, 2013, at the age of
  69; and
         WHEREAS, The son of J. R. Dilworth and Ruby Jewel Whitfield
  Dilworth, Mr. Dilworth was born in Clarksville on February 3, 1944;
  he grew up as one of 11 siblings and attended Haywood School;
  devoted to his family, he shared a fulfilling marriage with his
  wife, Betty, and was the proud father of five children, Jackie,
  Lillian, Paula, Pamala, and Priscilla; over the years, he
  experienced the pleasure of welcoming two grandchildren, Joy and
  Austin, into his family; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Dilworth worked for the Dallas Independent
  School District until his retirement in 2007; a man of faith, he was
  a valued member of Greater Mt. Hebron Missionary Baptist Church;
  and
         WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this esteemed
  gentleman's love and affection will forever hold him close in their
  hearts; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Leotis Dilworth and
  extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to his wife,
  Betty L. Dilworth; to his daughters, Jackie Vaughn and her husband,
  Randy, Lillian Stewart, Paula D. Mountique and her husband, Sidney,
  Pamala D. Burch, and Priscilla D. Burch-Scott and her husband,
  Sean; to his grandchildren, Joy Vaughn and Austin DePaul Lewis; to
  his mother, Ruby Jewel Dilworth; to his brothers, Pastor Quitman
  Dilworth and his wife, Wanda, and Fred Dilworth; to his sisters,
  Viola Rose, Iola Rose and her husband, M. L., Alvis "BeBe" Hodge and
  her husband, Eddie, and Ruby Machelle Dilworth; to his aunts,
  Beatrice Jones, Mary Smith, Connie Rucker and her husband, Thomas,
  and Mercede Gammage; to his goddaughters, Renee Turner and her
  husband, Andre, and Tanesha Nelson League and her husband, Byron;
  to his godson, Ronnie Broadway; and to his many other relatives and
  friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Leotis
  Dilworth.
