R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, The rank of Eagle Scout is an achievement shared by |
|
many of this nation's leaders, and the attainment of this |
|
significant honor by Aaron M. Garcia of Corpus Christi also heralds |
|
a future bright with opportunity and promise; and |
|
WHEREAS, A senior at John Paul II High School and future |
|
student of Del Mar College, this fine young Texan has mastered a |
|
number of important skills in his quest to become an Eagle Scout; he |
|
has earned 25 merit badges requiring expertise in such diverse |
|
areas as first aid, personal fitness, and environmental science, |
|
and he has gained experience in leadership and teamwork while |
|
undertaking an Eagle Scout project, which involved organizing the |
|
construction of a wooden privacy fence and the weatherproofing of |
|
the gazebo at the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Corpus |
|
Christi; and |
|
WHEREAS, A valued member of Boy Scout Troop 157 and an Order |
|
of the Arrow troop representative, Mr. Garcia has served his peers |
|
as a patrol leader and a senior assistant patrol leader, and in so |
|
doing, he has exemplified the many positive traits for which Boy |
|
Scouts are renowned; and |
|
WHEREAS, In fulfilling the rigorous requirements for |
|
attaining the Eagle Scout insignia, Mr. Garcia has demonstrated an |
|
unwavering commitment to the organization and its ideals, and the |
|
knowledge and confidence he has acquired along the way will indeed |
|
serve him well in the years to come; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature herby congratulate Eagle Scout Aaron M. Garcia on |
|
achieving this prestigious rank and extend to him sincere best |
|
wishes for continued success and happiness; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Eagle Scout Garcia as an expression of high regard by |
|
the Texas House of Representatives. |
