R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Corey Wittig is graduating as valedictorian of the |
|
senior class of Calallen High School in Corpus Christi on May 25, |
|
2013; and |
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, |
|
Mr. Wittig has demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide |
|
range of subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours he has |
|
devoted to his studies are myriad; and |
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Wittig has been named to both the National Honor |
|
Society and the Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica, and he has been a |
|
dedicated member of his school's art club; in addition, he has |
|
excelled as a player on the Wildcats soccer team and as a musician |
|
in the Calallen High School Band; after graduation, he plans on |
|
majoring in petroleum engineering at Texas A&M University in |
|
College Station; and |
|
WHEREAS, The son of proud parents Stacy and Kathy Wittig, |
|
Mr. Wittig has earned the respect and admiration of his teachers |
|
and classmates at Calallen High School, and his exceptional |
|
scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment to excellence have |
|
opened the way to limitless opportunities for this remarkable young |
|
Texan; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Corey Wittig on being named |
|
valedictorian of the Calallen High School Class of 2013 and extend |
|
to him sincere best wishes for continued success as he begins the |
|
next exciting chapter of his life; and, be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for Mr. Wittig as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
House of Representatives. |
