R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Senior Kyle Karnei of Midway High School in Waco |
|
|
qualified for the 2013 University Interscholastic League Golf State |
|
|
Tournament; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Under the guidance of Coach David May, Mr. Karnei |
|
|
has steadily improved his game each year of his high school career, |
|
|
winning a tournament in Salado as a junior and lowering his stroke |
|
|
average to 76 this season; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. Karnei secured his trip to state with an |
|
|
impressive performance at the Region 1-5A tournament in Lubbock, |
|
|
persevering through cold and windy conditions to shoot rounds of 74 |
|
|
and 77; as a result, he became the first Midway boys' golfer in two |
|
|
decades to compete at the state level; he will continue his golfing |
|
|
career at Abilene Christian University; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through hard work and an unwavering commitment to |
|
|
excellence, this talented student-athlete has earned a place among |
|
|
the Lone Star State's top 5A golfers, and he may indeed take |
|
|
justifiable pride in his outstanding accomplishment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Kyle Karnei on qualifying for the |
|
|
2013 UIL Golf State Tournament and extend to him sincere best wishes |
|
|
for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
|
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Karnei as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
