H.R. No. 2618

R E S O L U T I O N

WHEREAS, The members of the Paducah Independent School District video production team distinguished themselves by participating in the 2013 Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference, held May 8 through 12 in Orlando, Florida; and

WHEREAS, The Business Professionals of America organization is dedicated to helping students prepare themselves for careers in finance, management, administration, information technology, and other endeavors crucial to the U.S. economy; the annual BPA National Leadership Conference brings together more than 5,000 individuals from across the country to take part in educational seminars, leadership workshops, and a variety of challenging competitions that showcase their occupational skills; and

WHEREAS, Representing their school district in the video production event in Orlando, Logan Taylor, Madison Beck, and Charlie Holley worked together to achieve a fifth-place finish for their team; and

WHEREAS, Through their involvement in the BPA National Leadership Conference, these admirable young Texans are building a strong foundation for future success, and they may reflect with pride on their notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas Legislature hereby congratulate the members of the video production team of Paducah ISD on their success at the 2013 Business Professionals of America National Leadership Conference and extend to them sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further

RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas House of Representatives.
