R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Mandy Mayo distinguished herself by participating |
|
|
in the 2013 Business Professionals of America National Leadership |
|
|
Conference, held May 8 through 12 in Orlando, Florida; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The Business Professionals of America organization |
|
|
is dedicated to helping students prepare themselves for careers in |
|
|
finance, management, administration, information technology, and |
|
|
other endeavors crucial to the U.S. economy; the annual BPA |
|
|
National Leadership Conference brings together more than 5,000 |
|
|
individuals from across the country to take part in educational |
|
|
seminars, leadership workshops, and a variety of challenging |
|
|
competitions that showcase their occupational skills; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A student at Paducah High School, Ms. Mayo took part |
|
|
in the senior keyboarding event in Orlando, finishing in 26th |
|
|
place; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her involvement in the BPA National |
|
|
Leadership Conference, this admirable young Texan is building a |
|
|
strong foundation for future success, and she may reflect with |
|
|
pride on her notable accomplishments; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Mandy Mayo on her performance in |
|
|
the senior keyboarding competition at the Business Professionals of |
|
|
America National Leadership Conference and extend to her sincere |
|
|
best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Mayo as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
