R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Addison Hunter of Stephenville, a senior at |
|
|
Lingleville High School, has achieved distinction in the classroom |
|
|
and on the football field, and he is deserving of special |
|
|
recognition for his notable accomplishments; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Since first enrolling at Lingleville High as a |
|
|
junior, Mr. Hunter has become the highest-ranking student in his |
|
|
class and would have earned valedictorian honors had he completed |
|
|
all four years of his high school education at Lingleville; this |
|
|
exemplary student has devoted himself diligently to his studies and |
|
|
exhibited a thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The son of Dan and Nancy Hunter, Addison Hunter is |
|
|
also a gridiron standout and is the first Lingleville athlete to |
|
|
commit to playing football at the collegiate level; in the fall of |
|
|
2013, he will join the newly formed team at Southwestern University |
|
|
in Georgetown, which is reviving its program for the first time in |
|
|
62 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Addison Hunter has achieved academic and athletic |
|
|
excellence during his time at Lingleville High School, and he is a |
|
|
source of great pride to his family and classmates as well as to the |
|
|
school's many supporters in the local community; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Addison Hunter for his admirable |
|
|
performance in the classroom and on the football field and extend to |
|
|
him sincere best wishes for continued success; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. Hunter as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
