R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, David Loewenberg has been participating in the 2013
  University of Texas Department of Government Internship Program,
  and during the 83rd Legislative Session, he has ably served his
  fellow Texans as an aide in the office of State Representative
  Justin Rodriguez; and
         WHEREAS, Since joining the staff, Mr. Loewenberg has had the
  opportunity to learn more about the legislative process and to gain
  valuable experience in the field of public service; he has worked
  directly on issues relating to education, criminal justice, and
  concerns for the elderly; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Alvin and Kathy Loewenberg,
  Mr. Loewenberg graduated from Douglas MacArthur High School in San
  Antonio and currently studies government and sociology at UT; he is
  a member of the University Democrats, writes for the Daily Texan
  newspaper, and serves as a mentor for first-year college students;
  this coming fall, he plans on moving to Washington, D.C., to take
  part in the Bill Archer Fellowship program; and
         WHEREAS, Over the course of his tenure at the State Capitol,
  David Loewenberg has been of great assistance to Representative
  Rodriguez's office while acquiring knowledge of issues facing the
  citizens of the Lone Star State; he has performed his duties as a
  legislative aide with skill, perseverance, and dedication, and he
  may indeed look forward to a rewarding future; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby honor David Loewenberg as a participant in the
  2013 University of Texas Department of Government Internship
  Program and commend him for his achievements; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Loewenberg as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
