R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jamie Lehnen is graduating as the valedictorian of
  the senior class of Kingwood Park High School on May 25, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction,
  Ms. Lehnen demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range of
  subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted to
  her studies are myriad; a member of the National Honor Society and
  the Spanish National Honor Society, she has been recognized as both
  a PSAT Commended Scholar and an AP Scholar; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents James and Connie
  Lehnen, Ms. Lehnen has further distinguished herself through her
  many extracurricular activities; she is a member of the Key Club and
  the University Interscholastic League Academic Team, and she
  volunteers her time with Village Learning & Achievement Center;
  following her graduation, this dynamic young woman plans to study
  biochemical and biophysical sciences at the University of Houston;
  and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Jamie Lehnen has
  earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates at
  Kingwood Park High, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard
  work, and commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless
  opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be
  it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Jamie Lehnen on being named
  valedictorian of the Kingwood Park High School Class of 2013 and
  extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she
  begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Lehnen as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
