R E S O L U T I O N

|
|
WHEREAS, Diane Dreucean is graduating as the salutatorian of |
|
|
the senior class of Kingwood Park High School on May 25, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; to attain this coveted distinction, |
|
|
Ms. Dreucean demonstrated a thorough understanding of a wide range |
|
|
of subjects, and the rewards of the countless hours she has devoted |
|
|
to her studies are myriad; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Mariane and Doru |
|
|
Dreucean, Ms. Dreucean is a member of the National Honor Society and |
|
|
the Spanish National Honor Society and has been recognized as an AP |
|
|
Scholar; she has also participated in the University |
|
|
Interscholastic League Academic Team, qualifying for Mathematics |
|
|
Regionals, and distinguished herself in the school band; moreover, |
|
|
she has served as editor of the yearbook and as the aerospace office |
|
|
leader; following her graduation, she plans to major in chemical |
|
|
and biomolecular engineering and minor in business administration |
|
|
at the University of Houston; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Diane Dreucean has |
|
|
earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates at |
|
|
Kingwood Park High, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard |
|
|
work, and commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Diane Dreucean on being named |
|
|
salutatorian of the Kingwood Park High School Class of 2013 and |
|
|
extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she |
|
|
begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Dreucean as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
