R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Simon and Virginia Martinez of Welch celebrated |
|
|
their 50th wedding anniversary on April 12, 2013, providing a |
|
|
fitting opportunity to reflect with joy on the rewarding |
|
|
relationship they have shared; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Martinez exchanged the vows of |
|
|
matrimony in O'Donnell in 1963, and over the course of their |
|
|
marriage, they have found in each other a loving life partner; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mr. and Mrs. Martinez count among their blessings a |
|
|
fine family that includes three children, Albert, Elma, and Andy, |
|
|
and over the passing years has grown to include eight grandchildren |
|
|
and two great-grandchildren; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, For half a century, Simon and Virginia Martinez have |
|
|
brought to their marriage laughter, kindness, and devotion, and it |
|
|
is a pleasure to honor them for their enduring commitment; now, |
|
|
therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Simon and Virginia Martinez on |
|
|
their golden wedding anniversary and extend to them sincere best |
|
|
wishes for continued happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mr. and Mrs. Martinez as an expression of high regard |
|
|
by the Texas House of Representatives. |
