R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, The 80th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed
  cause for celebration, and Ida M. Wilson Langham of Galveston
  reached that impressive milestone on May 17, 2013; and
         WHEREAS, Mrs. Langham dedicated herself to the nursing
  profession for four decades, serving the patients of The University
  of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston with skill and compassion
  until her retirement in 1993; she inspired two of her three
  daughters to make UTMB their professional home, and following in
  her footsteps, they worked at UTMB for more than 30 years; and
         WHEREAS, A woman of strong religious faith, Mrs. Langham has
  been a valued member of Wesley Tabernacle United Methodist Church
  since 1954; and
         WHEREAS, Blessed with a devoted family and admiring friends,
  Ida Langham is a source of wisdom and joy to all who have the
  privilege of knowing her and sharing in the richness of her life;
  now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Ida M. Wilson Langham on her 80th
  birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued
  happiness; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mrs. Langham as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
