R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The 80th birthday of an esteemed Texan is indeed |
|
|
cause for celebration, and Ida M. Wilson Langham of Galveston |
|
|
reached that impressive milestone on May 17, 2013; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Mrs. Langham dedicated herself to the nursing |
|
|
profession for four decades, serving the patients of The University |
|
|
of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston with skill and compassion |
|
|
until her retirement in 1993; she inspired two of her three |
|
|
daughters to make UTMB their professional home, and following in |
|
|
her footsteps, they worked at UTMB for more than 30 years; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A woman of strong religious faith, Mrs. Langham has |
|
|
been a valued member of Wesley Tabernacle United Methodist Church |
|
|
since 1954; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Blessed with a devoted family and admiring friends, |
|
|
Ida Langham is a source of wisdom and joy to all who have the |
|
|
privilege of knowing her and sharing in the richness of her life; |
|
|
now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Ida M. Wilson Langham on her 80th |
|
|
birthday and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued |
|
|
happiness; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Mrs. Langham as an expression of high regard by the |
|
|
Texas House of Representatives. |
