R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, The girls' track team from Bryson High School |
|
|
achieved great distinction when freshman, Riley Smith competed in |
|
|
the 2300m run at the state track meet in Austin, TX on May 10, 2013; |
|
|
and |
|
|
WHEREAS, She spent tremendous time and energy preparing for |
|
|
what would result in a fourth place run in the Class A Div. II Girls |
|
|
3200 Track and Field State Championships. She completed the 2300 |
|
|
meter run in 12:23, a personal best; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Riley Smith has brought great pride to her family |
|
|
and Bryson High School through her dedication to athletics and her |
|
|
performance in a statewide competition where she showed great |
|
|
strength, endurance, and integrity; and |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Riley Smith for her fourth place |
|
|
victory in the girls' 2300-meter; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for the team as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
