R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Martha Beam is retiring as the assistant principal |
|
|
of Apollo Junior High School in Richardson at the end of the |
|
|
2012-2013 school year, drawing to a close a notable tenure in |
|
|
education that has spanned nearly three decades; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, A graduate of The University of Texas at |
|
|
Austin, Ms. Beam began her long career with the Richardson |
|
|
Independent School District in 1984; she spent more than a decade in |
|
|
the classroom as a teacher at Lake Highlands Junior High School |
|
|
before attaining her current position in 1996; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Ms. Beam has ably served Apollo students, faculty, |
|
|
and staff with distinction since that time, leaving briefly to |
|
|
contribute her expertise as assistant principal of Forest Meadow |
|
|
Junior High School for a year; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Through her dedication, professionalism, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence, Martha Beam has greatly benefited the |
|
|
students of Richardson ISD, and she may indeed reflect with pride on |
|
|
her accomplishments as she prepares to embark on the next exciting |
|
|
chapter of her life; now, therefore, be it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Martha Beam on her retirement as |
|
|
assistant principal of Apollo Junior High School and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for the future; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Beam as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
