R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Jack Noteware is retiring as the principal of Apollo
  Junior High School in Richardson at the end of the 2012-2013 school
  year, drawing to a close a notable tenure in education that has
  spanned more than four decades; and
         WHEREAS, A longtime local resident, Mr. Noteware is a
  graduate of the Richardson Independent School District and The
  University of Texas at Austin; in 1968, he began teaching and
  coaching at Northwood Junior High School in RISD, and he later
  gained experience as an assistant principal there; he joined Apollo
  as an assistant principal in 1986, and he was named principal of the
  school in 1998; and
         WHEREAS, This distinguished educator and administrator has
  enthusiastically supported Apollo faculty, staff, and students and
  has been a reliable presence at all school events; engaging the
  surrounding community, he has hosted an annual luncheon for area
  veterans each November, and on Veteran's Day, he has welcomed the
  local Veterans of Foreign Wars color guard to the school to raise
  the flag while the band plays the national anthem; and
         WHEREAS, Through his dedication, professionalism, and
  commitment to excellence, Jack Noteware has greatly benefited the
  students of Apollo Junior High, and he may indeed reflect with pride
  on his accomplishments as he prepares to embark on the next exciting
  chapter of his life; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Jack Noteware on his retirement as
  principal of Apollo Junior High School and extend to him sincere
  best wishes for the future; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Mr. Noteware as an expression of high regard by the
  Texas House of Representatives.
