R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
|
WHEREAS, Luisandrea H. Diaz is graduating as the |
|
|
valedictorian of the 2013 senior class of Foy H. Moody High School |
|
|
in Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Diaz has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being |
|
|
English and foreign languages; in addition, she participated in |
|
|
numerous extracurricular activities, including swimming, |
|
|
taekwondo, the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, SkillsUSA, |
|
|
and the academic decathlon; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Luis Miguel Diaz Guido |
|
|
and Zeferino and Mariandrea Perez, Ms. Diaz will continue her |
|
|
education at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, |
|
|
Maryland, where she plans to study physics; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Luisandrea H. Diaz |
|
|
has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Luisandrea H. Diaz, valedictorian |
|
|
of the Foy H. Moody High School Class of 2013, and extend to her |
|
|
sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the next |
|
|
exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Diaz as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
