R E S O L U T I O N
|

|
|
WHEREAS, Elizabeth Renee Valdez is graduating as the |
|
|
valedictorian of the 2013 senior class of West Oso High School in |
|
|
Corpus Christi; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only |
|
|
intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the |
|
|
highest academic standards; Ms. Valdez has demonstrated a thorough |
|
|
understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being |
|
|
math and science; in addition, she participated in numerous |
|
|
extracurricular activities, including volleyball, basketball, |
|
|
track, softball, and cross-country; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Armando Valdez and |
|
|
Donna Valdez, Ms. Valdez will continue her education at The |
|
|
University of Texas at San Antonio, where she plans to study |
|
|
nursing; and |
|
|
WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Elizabeth Renee |
|
|
Valdez has earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and |
|
|
classmates, and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and |
|
|
commitment to excellence have opened the way to limitless |
|
|
opportunities for this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be |
|
|
it |
|
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
|
Legislature hereby congratulate Elizabeth Renee Valdez, |
|
|
valedictorian of the West Oso High School Class of 2013, and extend |
|
|
to her sincere best wishes for continued success as she begins the |
|
|
next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it further |
|
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
|
prepared for Ms. Valdez as an expression of high regard by the Texas |
|
|
House of Representatives. |
