R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Lauren Clark is graduating as the valedictorian of
  the 2013 senior class of Tuloso-Midway High School in Corpus
  Christi; and
         WHEREAS, Earning the title of valedictorian requires not only
  intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
  highest academic standards; Ms. Clark has demonstrated a thorough
  understanding of a wide range of subjects, with her favorites being
  Spanish, math, and science; in addition, she participated in
  numerous extracurricular activities, including mock trial, debate,
  FFA, the Discovery Club, and the National Honor Society; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of proud parents Dan and Molly Carter,
  Ms. Clark will continue her education at Texas A&M University,
  where she plans to study computer and electrical engineering; and
         WHEREAS, Throughout her academic career, Lauren Clark has
  earned the respect and admiration of her teachers and classmates,
  and her exceptional scholastic ability, hard work, and commitment
  to excellence have opened the way to limitless opportunities for
  this remarkable young Texan; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas
  Legislature hereby congratulate Lauren Clark, valedictorian of the
  Tuloso-Midway High School Class of 2013, and extend to her sincere
  best wishes for continued success as she begins the next exciting
  chapter of her life; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for Ms. Clark as an expression of high regard by the Texas
  House of Representatives.
