R E S O L U T I O N
|
|
WHEREAS, Family and friends will forever treasure their |
|
memories of William Peterson Bandy of Dallas, who passed away on |
|
April 13, 2013, at the age of 85; and |
|
WHEREAS, Born on February 19, 1928, Bill Bandy graduated from |
|
Sunset High School in Dallas and spent many years on the road as a |
|
medical supply salesman; in 1980, he established United Medical |
|
Supply, and he went on to build the business into one of the largest |
|
independent medical suppliers in the Southwest; after selling the |
|
company in 2001, Mr. Bandy became an outspoken advocate for health |
|
care reform, speaking out in particular of his concern about the |
|
rising cost of health care; and |
|
WHEREAS, Devoted to his family, Mr. Bandy was the proud |
|
father of three children, Cyndy, Bill, and Shannon, and he |
|
delighted in his four grandchildren; in his leisure time, he took |
|
great pleasure in his love of jazz music and boating on Lake Texoma; |
|
and |
|
WHEREAS, Bill Bandy lived a life that was rich in the |
|
intangibles that matter most, and he will be deeply missed by all |
|
those who had the good fortune to know him; now, therefore, be it |
|
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 83rd Texas |
|
Legislature hereby pay tribute to the memory of William Peterson |
|
Bandy and extend sincere sympathy to the members of his family: to |
|
his children, Cyndy Severson, Bill Bandy and his wife, Susan, and |
|
Shannon Hollandsworth and her husband, Skip; to his grandchildren, |
|
Meryn Shannon and her husband, Jonathan, Kendra Harmon and her |
|
husband, Braden, Hailey Nicholson and her husband, Parker, and |
|
Tyler Hollandsworth; and to his other relatives and friends; and, |
|
be it further |
|
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be |
|
prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of |
|
Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Bill Bandy. |
